Welcome to the XL Hospice website! As owners it is our passion to serve those in the last stage of their life journey, and their families. We each have extensive backgrounds in gerontology – Dwight in social work and Barbara in education – and continue to put our hearts into XL Hospice, which celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2010. Over the years, we opened offices in Payette, Emmett, and Meridian, Idaho, as well as in Fallon, Nevada. In 2001, we realized our vision to provide specialized care in a home-like setting and opened Countryside Manor Hospice House. We opened physician clinics at our Idaho locations to provide palliative care consultations for those not ready for hospice. Most recently we have opened a bereavement center in Nampa, ID.
We hope the information you take from our site gives you some idea of the team we’ve assembled to provide a complete range of services to help ease the concerns that exist at the end of life. Each of our employees is highly-specialized in his or her own area of care. But, all of us share the values that make XL Hospice so special: quality, compassionate care, and a commitment to earning your trust.
We are the owners, but our employees and volunteers definitely take prideful ownership of their work and our organization. We are as proud of them as they are of the important work they do. Hospice is a bridge helping patients and families transition through this significant stage of life. If you should need to cross that bridge, we’re here to help.
