Physician Clinics
XL Hospice has three physician clinics called XL Palliative Care Consultation. These are located in three convenient locations across the Treasure Valley, in Meridian, Emmett, and Payette.
Receiving palliative care is similar to seeing a specialist for any other condition. Our specialists provide consultation to address pain and symptoms related to serious illness.
Palliative care can also be provided to patients residing in skilled nursing and assisted living facilities in the local area. Depending on the needs of the patient, palliative care services are provided by a physician or nurse practitioner. If there are any needs for counseling (ie., Depression, Anxiety or Adjustment Disorders) as a result of the medical concerns, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker is available. Medicare, Medicaid, and many private insurances have benefits that pay for palliative care services.
